The Frederic Remington Art Museum's ever-popular Art Highlights and Tea series will be at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.

Museum Trustee, Dick Johnson will talk about the Brockville and Morristown Transportation Company, which operated ferryboats on the St. Lawrence River fo nearly 50 years, ending in 1952.  The Brockville and Morristown Transportation Company ferried passengers, vehicles, livestock, and freight betwee the two St. Lawrence River communities.  Mr Johnson is the grandson of Frank L. Scott, who founded the ferry business in 1908, and of Dorothy Scott Kury, who ran the business after Frank Scott's death in 1935.

The talk is free and open to the public, presented in the museum's Tiffany Room.

At 3 pm, a delicious tea will be served, courtesy of Glory Martel and friends.  Please call 315-393-2425 or email or order online to reserve places at the tea.  The cost is $10 for member and $15 for non-members.

The Frederic Remington Art Museum is located at 303 Washington Street in Ogdensburg.  The Museum is dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, preserving and interpreting the art and archives of Frederic Remington and contains an unmatched collection of his works.  The Museum is open October 16 -- May 14, Wednesday through Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm and May 15 -- October 15, Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm.
