The Frederic Remington Art Museum invites you to join us for Night at the Museum on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 5 to 8 PM.

Enjoy live music in the beautifully renovated Eleanor Vilas McNally Courtyard by local talent Allexa Hooper. Allexa Hooper is a 16 year old singer/songwriter from Ogdensburg, NY. She has performed at numerous talent shows and festivals throughout New York State and has recorded her first solo album.

Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Light refreshments and cash bar will be available.

At 6:30 pm, museum director Laura Foster will unveil the museum's two Remington masterpieces newly on loan for the season from private collections. An exemplary cast of The Broncho Buster by Frederic Remington will be on view in the museum's Albert P. Newell Gallery, enabling the museum to appropriately display its excellent sand cast version of the subject next to a very fine lifetime cast made using the lost wax bronze casting method. Cast #29 is generously loaned from a private collection in Wyoming. Equally new and exciting in the museum's Addie P. Newell Gallery will be In the Rear of the Battle -- Wounded on the San Juan Road, an oil painting from 1898. This painting, depicting the aftermath of battle, joins other military works by Frederic Remington.
