The Frederic Remington Art Museum is offering a Jewelry Making Workshop with Karan Cross on Saturday, February 16th from 10am-2pm.

Everything old is new again! Young girls are wearing pearls and the rest of us are digging out our grandmothers' classic strands to pair with everything from blue jeans to cashmere sweaters.

Learn how to knot your own pearl strand. Working with fresh water pearls and silk thread, you will create your own elegant hand-knotted pearl necklace or bracelet and leave with the skill to make many more.

Information will include care and storage of your finished pieces and what to look for when purchasing additional pearls for future projects.

All materials are included.

Bring the following
 a clean, low nap, non-terrycloth dish towel
a tailor's tape measure
 jewelry-making chain nose pliers (helpful but not required)
 your reading glasses 
 a mid-afternoon snack.

The cost is $40 for members and $47 for non-members.
