The Community Health Centers in both St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties are designated as Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's). FQHC's are commmunity-based organizations that provide comprehensive primary care and preventive care services to persons of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay. A sliding-fee scale based on patients' famliy size and income is available to eligible community members for many of the services offered in St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties. The sliding fee scale is available to those who are at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.
